Heltek v3 Budget all-in-one
These are a great way to get started. Cheap handheld Meshcore units with a case, SMA antenna port and battery. Getting a pack of two makes for a sensible first purchase – you can have one as a “companion” (to connect to your phone via Bluetooth) and one fixed as a repeater (maybe in the loft) for connection to the wider network. We bought our last set from Amazon – not quite as cheap as getting from AliExpress in China, but arrived next day with no hassle.
